Summary:Function of autologous pericardial cusp in right ventricular outflow tract was evaluated in 7 with glutaraldehyde treated pericardial monocusped patches, in 7 with non-treated monocusped patches, and in 5 patients with glutaraldehyde-treated autologous pericardial valved conduits. Catheterization was done 8 to 44 months after the surgery. There was no differences in the valvular function between treated and non-treated cusp. Pliability of the cusp was kept well longer in treated cusp. Autologous pericardial cusp treated with glutaraldehyde may be a good material for pulmonary valvular reconstruction.
