Summary:We synthesized cyclotriphosphazenes with benzyloxy group with triple-standed alkoxy chain and studied the effect of carbon number dependence on the phase transition using DSC and X-ray powder diffraction measurements, and polarized microscope observations. Only in the cyclotriphosphazene with dodecyloxy side groups, a monotropic columnar phase was observed.
