Summary:Salat Tepe is located on the left bank of Salat River, a tributary of the upper Tigris in southeastern Turkey (Fig. 1). The site measures ca. 180 m in diameter and ca. 24 m in height showing a silhouette of trapezoid shape. After 2000 Tuba Ökse¹ and Ahmet Görmüş² conducted the archaeological excavations as the Ilisu Baraji-Salat Tepe Kurtarma Kazisi Projesi (Ökse 2004; Ökse et al. 2006).
