Summary: | This subject was experimented with H37Rv strain and Inouestrain isorated from sputum of pulmonary tuberculosis patient treated with Cycloserine (CS) previously. Strains were cultured on 1% Ogawa's egg slaut for 3 weeks. Following results were obtained. 1) The minimal inhibitory concentration of CS to H37Rv strain on the resistance media used immediately after adjustment was 10 mcg/ml when it was cultured for 3 weeks on 1% Ogawa's egg slaut. And it was also 10mcg/ml when it was cultured for 2 weeks on Kirchber's semi-liquid agar media. It was 20mcg/ml when it was cultured for 4 weeks on 1% Ogawa's egg slaut as well as when it was cultured for 3 weeks on Kirchner's semi-liquid agar media. 2) Both the case when the media was preserved in a refrigerator at 5°C and the case when it was incubated at 20°C, the anti-tuberculous strength of CS was inclined to fall according to the postponement of preservative period on both media. 3) When they are preserved in a refrigerator at 5°C; The inhibitory power of CS to mycobacterium tuberculosis was equal to the biginning with in 4 weeks after adjustment on 1% Ogawa's egg slaut and within 2 weeks on Kirchner's semi-liquid agar media. When they are incubated at 20°C; It was equal to the beginning with in 1 week on 1% Ogawa's egg Slaut. and with in 2 weeks on Kirchner's semi-liquid agar media. |
