Summary:We treated 29 patients who had Angle Class II division 1 malocclusion using the functional regulator. Cephalograms taken before and after treatment were traced and analyzed. Five esthetic indices were used to evaluate soft tissue profile changes in the patients. Most of the indices tended to normal values and soft tissue profile of the patients improved after the functional treatment. However, individual changes differed and second stage treatment was still required for some patients.
