Summary: | In major surgery, surgical outcomes are determined by factors such as physician, hospital, and patient. Whileadjustments in physician and hospital factors, such as advancements in surgical techniques, the implementation of ERAS systems and the management of hospital infection, are well managed, management of patient factorsremains inadequate. With growing interest in sarcopenia, attention has increasingly focused on controlling patient factors. At this symposium, we will discuss the progress of prehabilitation/rehabilitation protocols conducted byKSSMN, as well as programs implemented by Division of Colorectal Surgery at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital and theFollow-Up results regarding sarcopenia. |
