Globular Protein Crystallization in Lipid Cubic Phase (Current Topics)

Crystallization of a globular protein, lysozyme, was found to be enhanced in the medium of a lipid cubic phase. We propose that the confinement of lysozyme molecules to the nanoscale water channels in the cubic phase induces the enhancement.
