Summary:Motorized two-wheeler riders are the most involved in traffic crashes. This study is aimed at understanding the risky riding behaviour and also the riders' perception and positive affect towards risky riding. A questionnaire was designed based on the identified factors that influence the motorized two-wheeler users risky riding. Structural equation modeling was carried out to find out the relationship between the riders' perception, positive affect and their risky riding behaviour. The model result shows that there is a significant relationship between risk perception, positive affect and risky riding behaviour. It was also found that positive affect is having more significant influence on risky riding behaviour when compared to risk perception. The present study about the riders risky riding behaviour will be helpful in formulating new measures to reduce the road traffic accidents involving motorized two-wheeler riders.
