Summary:Holistic care, defined as "the human body, mind, emotions, spirit, society, culture, and relationships that are all inter-related with the environment becoming the subject of care", has been the nursing target of the American Holistic Nursing Association (AHNA). In Japan, there is the International Healing Association for Nursing that was established 10 years ago. As a practical setting for holistic nursing, we have established a Japanese visiting nurse station in Luminous and we are working to spread information about it and its concept. In this presentation, we report on the current state of holistic nursing in Japan and overseas, including cases in home-visit nursing.
