Summary: | We developed a computerized automatic blood pressure control system. Using the state predictive control theory, blood pressure was controlled by adjusting the infusion rates of antihypertensive agents and saline solusion. The agents used were trimethaphan camsilate, PGE1 and nicardipine. The fidelity of the system was evaluated in trimethaphan- treated dogs which were anesthesized with GOF under controlled respiration. When the target MAP (mean arterial pressure) was set at 80mmg, it was reached in 5 to 30 minutes. The duration of error from the target MAP±10% was 3.695±4.54min/hr (n=9) and the integral of the error was 1.142±0.185mmHghr/hr (Mean±SD, n=9). These results indicated the safety and stability of our system. |
