Summary: | In 1989, we published in other journal a case of female patient who underwent bilateral adrenalectomy for Cushing syndrome at age 13 and developed multiple myxomas in her right heart system 10 years after the adrenalectomy. We report this case again, which we observed for another 10 years. Meanwhile, she married and got a child, but at pregnancy, developed synptoms suggestive of adrenocortical insufficiency and presented relapse of myxomas 6 years after extirpation of myxomas. Such a case as this was repoted originally by Schweizer-Cargianut et al, in 1980, and Carney et al, reported 40 cases collected from the literature, including 4 cases of theirs in 1985. In Japan, no cases other than that reported by Akama et al, has been reported. Thus the present case is regarded as the second in Japan. We presented a sequential report of this case because long-term observation has not yet been made of such a case in Japan, which was considered valuable. |
