Summary:We reported a case of B-cell lymphoma in a 12-year-old boy who was admitted to our hospital because of ascites. The treatment with vincristine and cyclophosphamide led to the complication of uric acid nephropathy, which was relieved for 4 days. Again he suffered renal dysfunction on the intensive chemotherapy with high dose methotrexate (MTX). This complication was considered to be due to high dose MTX. The renal function recovered completely and he has maintained complete remission for 2 years and 7 months after the onset. In case of massive ascites, we must consider the complication of uric acid nephropathy.
