Summary: | The development of an informal item analysis that can be used with the Slosson Intelligence Test (SIT) to gain additional diagnostic information is described. There are eight categories for the items on the SIT: (1) arithmetic, (2) vocabulary, (3) numerical memory, (4) word memory, (5) comparison, (6) general knowledge, (7) motor skills, & (8) similarities/analogies. A reliability check with five teachers revealed that almost 97% agreed with the author in assigning the items to one of the eight categories. Steps for preparing & using the item analysis are provided along with an actual example. Cautions for proper use of the item analysis are included. Professionals interested in an item analysis sheet should write the author & enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope. 3 Tables, 10 References. AA |
