FUNDAMENTAL AND CLINICAL INVESTIGATION OF T-1220 IN OPHTHALMACOLOGICAL FIELD

In order to study the ophthalmacological application of T-1220 fundamental andclinical investigations were carried out and the following results were obtained. 1) In the rabbits muscularly injected T-1220 at the dosis of 20mg/kg the bloodlevel was 22μg/ml and the concentration in aqueous humor was 0.68μg/ml and thepeaks were each at 30 minutes. 2) To 11 cases of cataractoperation 19of T-1220 was injected intravenouslybeforg operation and the blood level at 30 minutes after administration was 84 μg/ml atthe hlghest concentration, The concentration in aqueous humor at 30 minutes after administration was 2.3μg/ml at the highest concentration. 3) As clinical cases, 6 cases of orbital phlegmon, purUlent iridocyclitis, dacriocystitisand infectlous diseases by Pseudomonas aeruginosa after operation of retinal detachmentwere used for the test. Among them it was effective to 5 cases, and the effective ratewas 83%.
