Summary:Steel corrosions are caused on the boundary with concrete in steel-concrete composite structures. It is necessary to inspect the steel-concrete composite joints by nondestructive inspection method. In this study, the specimens of composite joints with steel plate and H-shaped steel embedded in concrete were damaged to obtain the relationship of steel corrosion and vibration characteristic of steel-concrete composite joints. These specimens were tested on vibration characteristics by using small electric exciter. As the experimental results, it was indicated that damping of H-shaped steel members was increased by steel corrosion, though the natural frequency has not changed so much.
