Measurements of the Mutual Diffusion Coefficients of Gases by the Taylor Method : 4th Report, Measurements on the CFC12-Air, HFC134a-Air, CFC113-Air, CFC114-Air and CFC115-Air Systems

The mutual diffusion coefficients of CFC12, HFC134a, CFC113, CFC114 and CFC115 into air have been measured at 0-180°C and at atmospheric pressure by the Taylor method. The experimental uncertainty was estimated to be ±2%. The present results can be represented by the following equations : CFC12-air,...

Summary:The mutual diffusion coefficients of CFC12, HFC134a, CFC113, CFC114 and CFC115 into air have been measured at 0-180°C and at atmospheric pressure by the Taylor method. The experimental uncertainty was estimated to be ±2%. The present results can be represented by the following equations : CFC12-air, D=4.77×10-10 T1.75 ; HFC134a-air, D=5.04×10-10 T1.75 ; CFC113-air, D=2.75×10-10 T1.80 ; CFC114-air, D=3.97×10-10 T1.75 ; CFC115-air, D=4.03×10-10 T1.76, where D is the mutual diffusion coefficient in m2/s and T is the temperature in K.
