Summary: | The site of Buseirah (biblical Bozrah) was extensively excavated in the 1970s by Crystal M. Bennett, who published several preliminary reports (Bennett 1973; 1974; 1975; 1977) and articles (Bennett 1978; 1983; 1986) on the results. A few years ago Piotr Bienkowski, who is in charge of Bennett’s archaeological legacy, published the final excavation report (2002).
In an article published in 2001, and in the final report, Bienkowski suggested a new framework for understanding the stratigraphy, architectural history, and chronology of Buseirah.
