Summary:In this paper, characteristics of transient response in two-variable control system composed of temperature and relative humidity is discussed. Adaptation of feedforward algorithm to humidity control system is investigated on the characteristics of humidity manipulated in this process control system. On the condition of two-variable control system in this papar where desired value of relative-humidity is constant and desired value of temperature is 5°C step function, the corresponding changes in relative-humidity is 6-8% RH in the case of temperature feedback algorithm and relative-humidity feedback algorithm. On the other hand, in the case of feedf orward-feedback algorithm where temperature control is feedback algorithm and humidity control is feedf orward-feedback algorithm, the corresponding changes in relative-humidity is smaller than 2% RH. Stability of humidity control is good in transient control as well as in steady-state control.
