Summary:26 individuals, in reconvalescent stage under a working-therapy, were chosen at random out of the patients of our sanatorium, and observed of their modus of discharge of the bacilli, in culturing the sputum periodically once a week, by OGAWA's quntitative culture method, gave the results as follows: I) If we examine the sputum of patients more often and periodically, we will be able to raise the rate of positive finding of bacillary discharge. 2) So called “discharger of a small amount of tubercle bacilli” discharges bacilli intermittently. 3) As to one individuals, the rate of detection is the highest from the early morning specimen, and although when the patients failed to bring up a sputum early morning, a mucous secretion is usually stimulated by taking meal, which will accerelate the sputum discharge with positive bacilli. Therfore, a special attention should be paid in this respect, when we wish to get a good results.
