Summary:Distribution of the brachyuran crabs were investigated around the river mouth of the Sagamigawa River in the central Japan. Eight rare species (Scylla olivacea, S. serrata, Ocypode ceratophthalma, O. sinensis, Scopimera globose, Grapsus albolineatus, Metopograpsus thukuhar and Acmaeopleura parvula) were recorded. Among them, four species (S. olivacea, O. ceratophthalma, G. albolineatus and A. parvula) were newly recorded in the Sagamigawa River, among which two speces (S. olivacea and G. albolineatus) extended their northern limit.
