Summary:This paper addresses the problems of slow charging and high energy loss of power batteries in low temperature environments, and proposes a fast self-heating technology for battery systems based on bidirectional pulses. It explains the principle of pulse current heating and gives a specific design of bidirectional pulse current. The experimental verification of pulse current heating for power batteries in low temperature environments is presented, and the experimental results show that the pulse current heating method can achieve the rapid self-heating of power batteries in low temperature environments.
