Summary: | Nowadays, satellite communication has the characteristics of long links, high delay and high rate. And in the process of communication, due to the asymmetry of the forward and reverse link bandwidth, the reverse link congestion problem results in the decrease of the throughput of the whole system communication. Therefore, the traditional Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) protocol can not meet the needs of satellite link communication. In order to adapt to the characteristics of satellite communication and solve its problems, this paper improves acknowledgement mechanism based on the Quick UDP Internet Connections (QUIC) protocol to make it suitable for satellite communication. In addition, a frame survival time mechanism is proposed to make the throughput of the communication system more stable in the case of high bit error rate. In this paper, the simulation is carried out on OMNet++ platform. The experimental results show that the method can effectively alleviate the problem of reverse link congestion and improve the transmission performance of the system in space information network communication. |
