Summary:The paper describes the implementation procedure for a software tool used in dosimetric calculations for silicon devices operating in X-ray radiation environments. The spectra of two fields of braking radiation were calculated using the SpekCalc software. A method for accurately estimating the mass energy-absorption coefficients was described using two different bremsstrahlung spectra. Three different approaches to estimate mass coefficients were compared to each other. Samples of low-dropout voltage regulators were utilised under the same bias and load conditions. The suggested procedure was required to calculate total ionising doses in linear integrated circuits for arbitrary bremsstrahlung environments, not defined by international standards.
