Summary:During the operation of electrical equipment, if there are abnormal situations that cause overheating, it can lead to equipment damage and even serious consequences such as fire. To improve the reliability of electrical equipment design and avoid thermal faults, it is necessary to monitor the temperature of the equipment. The infrared thermal image temperature measurement method has the advantages of rich temperature information, wide detection range, and no equipment contact. The traditional thermal image detection method requires manual designation of the detection area. When the position of the object to be detected changes, the detection area needs to be reassigned. In order to effectively monitor the running state of the equipment, this paper proposes a method for detecting thermal faults in electrical equipment thermal images. This method is based on the improved YOLOv8 algorithm, incorporating Coordinate Attention (CA) into the backbone to enhance the model's learning ability of location information. The Local Intensities Operation (LIO) is used to separate the equipment from the background, and finally, the temperature of the equipment is counted and whether a thermal fault has occurred is calculated.
