A grid connection scheme of a switched reluctance generator using P+Resonant controller

This paper presents a scheme to connect the SRG to the single-phase power grid for active power injection. A voltage control scheme of the SRG using a PI compensator to adjust the magnetization angles of the generator phases will be shown. The SRG is subjected to variable speed operation to verify t...

Summary:This paper presents a scheme to connect the SRG to the single-phase power grid for active power injection. A voltage control scheme of the SRG using a PI compensator to adjust the magnetization angles of the generator phases will be shown. The SRG is subjected to variable speed operation to verify the control effectiveness. A description of the P+RES compensator employed as an alternative to the PI compensator for current injection control will presented. The electric network synchronization is obtained through a PLL algorithm. The simulation and experimental results are presented proving the SRG suitable operation working at variable speed and connected to the electric grid for active power injection.
