Summary: | The paper discusses the collinear competition problem between urban rail transit and conventional bus transit. It compares ecological population competition with collinear transit competition, and utilizes ecological theories and means to solve the collinear competition problem between transit modes. A collinear competition model between rail transit and bus transit based on Lotka-Volterra population competition model is set up to analyze the competition mechanism quantitatively and search for the equilibrium. The real data are applied for demonstration and some reliable conclusions are obtained. |
