Summary:Unmanned aerial vehicle's (UAV's), are becoming more popular in both military and commercial use. Generally, they are remotely piloted or rely on global positioning systems (GPS) which makes them vulnerable to cyber security attacks. This paper demonstrates an approach for security testing a UAV. Our approach has previously been demonstrated on both pre-flight and post-liftoff launch vehicle systems. This approach uses a behavioral model, an attack model, and a mitigation model to build a security test suite. We identify attack points in a system using behavioral and attack models. We then generate a UAV security test suite based on attack mitigation models.
