Summary:Non-cooperative location of cellular mobile platform uses air intercepted technology of uplink and downlink signals to avoid influencing the normal communication between mobile platform and base station, so it has strong concealment, flexibility and mobility. However, due to block, urban environment etc. factors, it makes fast and accurate self-location of observation station difficult and lead to the larger position coordinates error. In view of the issues on the location performance, a new algorithm for high-precision non-cooperative location is proposed. The proposed algorithm utilizes the joint observation equations constructed by location observed quantity and observed value of position coordinates of observation station and make it linearization, then uses the weighted least squares iteration to achieve high accuracy estimation of mobile station location. Error analysis indicates that the algorithm has unbiased results and location performance can reach to Cramer-Rao low bound. Simulation results show that location accuracy of this algorithm is clearly superior to that of the traditional positioning solution method, and it has the strong universality and robustness.
