Dielectric properties of aqueous glucose solutions using microwave cavity and coaxial probe

This paper presents two measurement techniques for determining the complex dielectric properties of aqueous glucose solution of a variety of concentration (0 to 500 mmol/L) by using a coaxial reflectance probe (0.2 to 4 GHz) and a cylindrical cavity (3.5 GHz). The measured real and imaginary permitt...

Summary:This paper presents two measurement techniques for determining the complex dielectric properties of aqueous glucose solution of a variety of concentration (0 to 500 mmol/L) by using a coaxial reflectance probe (0.2 to 4 GHz) and a cylindrical cavity (3.5 GHz). The measured real and imaginary permittivity from the two different methods agree well each other, showing a systematic error less than 2 %.
