Summary:Natural oils are divided into vegetable and mineral oils. Compared with vegetable oils, the mineral oils show better dielectric properties, however, they are dangerous for the living environment and their flammability is higher. Recently, additives in the form of dispersed nanoparticles, especially SiO 2 , TiO 2 , ZnO, Al 2 O 3 , are used in the effort to improve certain dielectric properties of mineral oils. This paper is mainly focused on the summary of dielectric properties of mineral oils with dispersed nanoparticles. Next research will be focused on the dielectric properties of vegetable oils with dispersed nanoparticles.
