Summary: | Millimetre wave antennas are difficult to realize due to their small structure. Lot of applications including WiGig falls in the unlicensed V band (57 to 64 GHz). It is observed that, wearable millimeter wave antennas have not been thoroughly explored in literature. Hence, a wearable V band antenna is proposed in this paper. The proposed wearable button antenna has a polyamide substrate of thickness 1.6 mm and 10 mm diameter. The top of the button is a metallic layer 0.01 mm thick which is given a co-axial feed. The antenna implements partial ground. This antenna resonates at 59 GHz with a bandwidth of 1.1 GHz. A case study is performed for an array setup of the same. |
