Summary:In this paper, a novel method of typical spectrum (TS) is developed to analyze spectral data in broadcast band. It is composed of the following two steps: in the first step, six features are extracted based on repeated experiments, which decreases computational complexity and makes the distribution of spectral data more compact and useful. In the second step, typical spectrum is constructed based on the latest clustering algorithm. Experiment shows that the proposed method can achieve satisfactory performance over acquired data. Furthermore, we identify illegal broadcast based on typical spectrum of mute signal, which provides a guiding significance for further study in the radio monitoring.
