Summary: | This paper presents a frequency reconfigurable hybrid with broad tuning bandwidth. It consists of a broadband hybrid and an electric adjustment network. The electric adjustment network is utlized with varactor diodes. Analytical design equations are derived. The proposed hybrid was simulated. The analytical results agree well with the simulated ones. Simulation results show that by varying capacitance values of the varactor diodes, the center operating frequency can be tuned continuously from 1.46 to 2.02GHz. In the tuning range, it has phase orthogonality and amplitude balance of the output ports. Moreover, its working bandwidth is larger than 130 MHz for different values of the varactor diodes. |
