Experimental investigation of performance improvement by co-propagating Raman amplification in repeaterless systems
Non-linearity reduction by co-propagating Raman amplification is investigated on DSF and on PSCF. High density DWDM systems with 25 GHz channel-spacing on standard PSCF are shown to be compatible with high performance repeaterless transmission.
