Summary: | For an earth observation mission, the commissioning phase consists of 3 major parts as far as image quality is concerned: geometric calibration, radiometric calibration and performance assessment. Each part has plenty of activities but this article focuses only on the radiometric calibration of VENµS satellite. First, it briefly presents the different tasks performed during the radiometric calibration and introduces the VENµS mission with its main system and technical characteristics. Then it summarizes different methods to estimate radiometric parameters and gives first results. Finally, there is a special focus on a method based on simultaneous nadir observations (SNO) with Sentinel-2 to determine absolute calibration coefficients. |
