Summary: | In this paper, we present a comparison between Square Minkowski and Triangular Koch fractal microstrip patch antennas. Initially, conventional square and triangular microstrip patch antennas are designed and optimized by simulation to have the same resonant frequency. After that, Minkowski Island and Koch Loop fractal structures are applied to the square and to the triangular geometries, respectively. The comparison is made for a number of frequencies and for one and two fractal iterations, aiming at miniaturization. |
