Summary:Circuit multiplication equipment optimized for IP-based networks (IP-CME) adopts such as multiplex, coding with vary bit rate and other low rate encoding to gain the same Quality of Service (QoS) with VoIP, at the same time reducing the overhead of packet, reducing processing loads of IP packet routing devices, optimizing resources of IP-based network. The base of researching IP-CME is the researching of QoS of IP-CME. Firstly, the concept and quantitative indicators of QoS are introduced in this paper. Secondly, main modules and core technology of IP-CME are described in detail. Thirdly, an ns-2 based simulation environment is built and the delay, jitter and packet lost rate of IP-CME and VoIP by loading their source models separately are analyzed. At last a network model is proposed which can ensure IP-CME's QoS.
