Summary:An optimization method is proposed which can effectively reduce the impact of the difference between effective data bit error rate and telemetry frame synchronization code error rate when channel coding is used in space telemetry tracking and command (TT & C) system. Firstly, theoretical analysis of frame synchronization theory, error rate calculating methods and fault tolerant bit number optimization principles are given in detail. Then, experimental results are obtained including the optimal bit number with (1/3, turbo) channel coding and 1M bit rate. Both theoretical and experimental results indicate the method proposed here is effectively which has potential applying value for fault tolerant bit number selecting during channel coding in TT & C system.
