Summary: | Copyright protection of digital media is still a challenge today. In this paper we proposed a robust watermarking method for embedding copyright information in spatial domain of the color image. Each byte of the data has been encrypted with a secret key and the data bits has been transposed on the cover media by using the well known MD5 Hash function with the combination of the secret key, and thus making it harder for unauthorized people to extract the original message with this new method. This research focuses on robustness, by developing attacks and counter-attacks on the watermarked image. Testing is done by Stirmark benchmark 4.0. The test result shows that the proposed method is very secure and robust against ambiguity and removal attacks. |
