A long-lived spin qubit in an optically active semiconductor quantum dot

We report on the first s pin-control e xperiments i n o ptically active GaAs/AlGaAs quantum dots. Using dynamic decoupling, we retain a quantum superposition for up to 105 µs, a hundred-fold improvement over the state-of-the-art.
