Summary:In order to sort frequency hopping networks, the problem of estimating Direction of Arrival (dOA) of frequency hopping signals in underdetermined case is discussed in this paper. Inspired by the underdetermined blind source separation algorithm and product of hopping frequency and DOA in frequency hopping signals mixing matrix, a novel underdetermined DOA estimation method is proposed. Firstly, mixing matrix of frequency hopping signals is estimated, and secondly an improved subspace projection method based on Short Time Fourier transform (STFT) is exploited to recovery frequency hopping signals in order to achieve frequency information, and lastly DOAs estimations are obtained through mixing matrix and frequency information. Results of simulation demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve superior performance than those got from previous algorithms.
