Summary: | Genetic algorithm (GA) is applied to shape the antenna patterns by modifying just the phase distribution in this paper. In order to form a given pattern for antenna arrays, the genetic algorithm is used to optimize the phase distribution of excitations. GA has been shown to be an effective strategy in the nonlinear optimization and it is fit for designing shaped-beam antenna array. This paper gives the example of a horn cavity whose opening is flared in H side with metal lens and the measured result that improve the validity and practicability of the algorithm. |
