Summary:The miniature frequency-temperature sensor in the form of thermo-sensitive quartz tuning fork resonators with a new ZYtw-cut and vibrating in the flexural mode with has been developed to design a high performance temperature sensor. The resonance frequency of a quartz tuning fork crystal was comprehensively analyzed by an analytical method. The experimental results of the temperature-frequency characteristic of the quartz crystal tuning fork temperature sensor are shown. The analysis has shown that this new type of sensor with sensitivity 60ppm/°C within temperature range from 0°C to 100°C, the numerical and experimental samples all indicated an accuracy of 0.05°C, a resolution of 0.001°C.
