The paper explored the effect of directed forgetting on post traumatic stress disorder peddlers. The results showed that:(1) directed forgetting affected explicit and implicit memory of post traumatic stress disorder peddlers whose remember items were better than forget items. The findings showed directed forgetting can intervene post traumatic stress disorder peddlers;(2) the mechanism of the effect of directed forgetting on post traumatic stress disorder peddlers should be retrieval inhibition.
