Summary: | Due to increasing demands for a large number of users and a large amount of data transmission, a 4G LTE communication system will require its antenna to have omnidirectional radiation patterns and wide frequency bandwidth. To this end, in this paper, a novel omnidirectional horizontally polarized (HP) antenna is presented for the 4G communication systems. The antenna consists of four pairs of flag-shaped radiators, eight pairs of parasitical striplines. With return loss better than 10 dB, it has a relatively wide fractional bandwidth of 55% working from 1.7 to 3.0 GHz and size of 45×45×2.5 mm 3 . |
