Summary:As is known that rotor position cannot be detected instantaneously with the control strategy of position sensor. In order to solve this problem, a novel method of position sensorless control algorithm for BLDC based on the counting of PWM pulses is presented. In MATLAB/Simulink, combined with the mathematical model and working principles of BLDC, a simulation model of BLDC without position sensor is built up based on the counting of PWM pulses. Simulation results verify that rotor position can be accurately detected with the proposed detecting strategy.
