Summary:Noise is adversely affecting the speech intelligibility for the people with hearing loss. Over many years the problem of reducing noise in hearing aids has been addressed in different ways. Literature Survey suggests that conventional techniques are used to solve the problem range from relatively simple form of filtering to advanced digital signal processing methods. The design of adaptive filter for Hearing-Aid application is done by modifying the conventional algorithms and the hybrid of two or more algorithms are suggested. In this paper, various algorithms were studied to achieve Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) in an audio signal.
