Summary:The main connector is an important component of the removable partial denture, a component related to all other elements of the dentures. The group of patients was represented by fifteen patients were randomly divided into three groups, each group consisting of five patients groups are designated as A, B and C, specific for palatal plate metal, palatal acrylic plate and palatal bar. Completed questionnaires showed that all three types of connectors affected speech, 40% of patients said they had been affected the process of chewing, and regarding swallowing, only 26.7% of patients were affected. The result of this study shows that the main connector metal bar was the main connector jaw accepted while the acrylic resin plate was less acceptable than metal plate main maxillary connector. It confirmed also influence of main connector design on to the future patient acceptance of denture.
