Experimental demonstration of dynamic end-to-end lightpath provisioning mechanism in OBS/GMPLS interworking network

Multi-layer Provisioning (MLP) of End-to-End light-path in OBS/GMPLS interworking network is successfully demonstrated by introducing extensions to MPLS signaling protocol in LOBS network. The feasibility of this mechanism was experimentally verified in an OBS/GMPLS testbed. In contrast to pervious...

Summary:Multi-layer Provisioning (MLP) of End-to-End light-path in OBS/GMPLS interworking network is successfully demonstrated by introducing extensions to MPLS signaling protocol in LOBS network. The feasibility of this mechanism was experimentally verified in an OBS/GMPLS testbed. In contrast to pervious single-layer resource provision mechanism, MLP ensures stable and high throughput of Reno TCP transportation.
