Summary:In the context of the work developed by the 4WARD project within the Future Internet, some use-cases were created to show the main aspects of 4WARD's work, highlighting the technical innovations arising from the project, and also to study the related business potential. This way, four use-cases were developed: two more user oriented (Community-oriented Applications and Internet of Things) and two more technical focused (Network Virtualisation and Network of Information). The first two deal with the business aspects related to the provision of means to enable ad-hoc communities in the Internet and to the growing usage of sensors and other "e-things", respectively. The two technical oriented ones look at the virtualisation of network resources (and related business players) and at information dissemination on content centric networks, respectively. This work is complemented with the evaluation of two specific regulatory topics, which were identified as being critical for making business in general in the Future Internet: regulation of interconnection issues related to Network Virtualisation, and regulatory perspectives of security, privacy and confidentiality issues in the Network of Information.
